Falcon Players
Falcon Players is the theatre club at Rockwood Summit. Any student who participates or has an appreciation for theatre (acting, tech, performing, etc.) is welcome. Falcon Player activities include: assisting with productions, attending theatre conferences, movie nights, game nights, improv, attending local productions (i.e. The Fabulous Fox), and much more!

Gateway Book Club
The Gateway Book Club is for readers! We meet once a month to discuss books and to celebrate reading. While members usually read the same title prior to each meeting, the group occasionally decides to read "books of choice," meaning that each member chooses a different title to present at the next meeting. We promote reading by sponsoring one Book Club Night each semester and a Barnes & Noble Book Fair once a year.

Renaissance
We meet the second Tuesday of every month. This program is designed to promote and recognize academic achievement in our school. Recognition is the cornerstone of our successful Renaissance Program as we showcase academic achievements of Rockwood Summit High School students, recognize outstanding teachers, and promote the school within the Fenton community.

Snow Club
Snow Club is located at Hidden Valley. Students get a season pass and go anytime Monday-Thursday to ski, snowboard, and/or tube.

Summit Steppers
Summit Steppers is a club that welcomes current Summit students from all grade levels. You need to have rhythm, be able to take direction, and want to represent RSHS well at school events. Practices are held Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. An activity bus is provided for transportation home. The student is required to purchase performance gear at a price still being determined.

Trading Card Game Club
Trading Card Game Club is a club where students can meet friends that share interest in collectible card games. We are open to all types of card and board games. No experience or supplies are needed, simply show up with an open mind and find the game that best fits your personality.

Both publications have won numerous national awards and many students who have worked on these publications have gone on to great success in a variety of media fields upon completion of high school. Each of these publications meets as a class and students must meet prerequisites.

PRISMA
People Rallying in Support for More Acceptance, PRISMA is Rockwood Summit's Gay-Straight Alliance focuses on building acceptance through awareness. Allies and students who identify as LGBTQIA+ meet weekly to have fun and converse about current events and plan activities and events related to National Day of Silence, National Coming Out Day and homecoming.

Best Buddies
Best Buddies creates one-to-one friendships between students with and without intellectual/other disabilities. Members have the opportunity to be a part of a buddy pair that commits to talk/hang out once a week and spend time engaging in an activity with each other monthly. Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
The purpose of FBLA is to promote an environment in which business oriented students can improve their talents and prepare themselves for a career in business related careers. FBLA helps develop vocational and career supportive skills as well as promoting civic and personal responsibility.

Key Club
Key Club is a part of an international group of high school students that both serves the community and fosters leadership development. Summit members are required to log service hours by participating in club sponsored events as well as individual interest-based projects.

Link Crew
Link Crew is a service organization of juniors and seniors providing mentorship to freshmen students making the transition to high school. Link leaders adopt small groups of freshmen to lead through orientation activities and maintain communication throughout the year. Applications for Link Crew are available to current sophomores and juniors in February each year.

S.P.A.C.E. Cadets
Students Promoting Awareness into the Community Everyday. Students will participate in a variety of fundraising and volunteering activities based on students interest: Making Strides/Crucial Catch Carnival and Walk, Homecoming Parade, Walk for Heart, make and donate craft items, various walks, awareness posters on various subjects.

Student Equity Leadership Group
The Student Equity Leadership Group is an organization of students chosen to represent their peers to the Rockwood Summit community as a whole. The purpose of the group is to recognize and celebrate differences and eliminate barriers that prevent communication and understanding within our school community. This group gives students the opportunity about others and share opinions and new ideas in a respectful and open-minded environment.

Teenage Health Consultants
TAHC is a peer education group that travels to schools in our area to talk with elementary, middle, and high school students about important issues they face, like making healthy choices, drugs and alcohol, and healthy relationships. All training and materials will be provided for the classroom presentations through the St. Louis County Department of Health.Any junior or senior is welcome to apply!

Scholarship
Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA)
DECA is an organization for Rockwood Summit seniors in the CCE program. DECA prepares students for careers in entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. Members have the opportunity to participate in service activities; attend conferences; run for leadership positions at the school, district, and state level; and showcase their marketing skills by competing at the district, state, and international level. Several scholarships are available for DECA member

Educators Rising
Joining Educators Rising makes you a part of a nationwide network of more than 40,000 members in all 50 states -- committed to making sure that students develop the skills and knowledge needed to become great teachers. This club is for students interested in exploring careers in education and engaging in community service activities.

Envirothon
Envirothon is an academic science competition that students can join. In groups of five, they answer questions and solve problems related to wildlife identification, water, soils, forestry and current events related to human impact on the environment. You'll work in teams to study throughout the year and compete together in April.

National Honor Society
National Honor Society consists of juniors and seniors that have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher and have been shown to uphold the four pillars of NHS (scholarship, leadership, character, and service). Serving the school and community is a focus of Rockwood Summit’s National Honor Society chapter. Our members show great leadership and character when performing service hours while also maintaining a focus on academics.

Speech & Debate
The Speech and Debate Team competes in four to six weekend competitions throughout the year. Students can compete in four different styles of debate, including Congress, as well as many other non-debate events in either novice or varsity divisions. Speech events include radio, informative speaking, original oratory, poetry reading, storytelling, and many more!

School Spirit
Cheerleading
The award-winning Falcon cheerleading squad includes a varsity, junior varsity and freshmen level. All squads cheer at Falcon football, wrestling, boys soccer and boys and girls basketball games. In addition the squad participates in a variety of competitions throughout the year. Tryouts are held in March of each school year.

Silver Stars Dance Team
The award winning Silver Star Dance Team (1st Place Team at State in 2011, 2013, 2021, and 2022) is the performance dance team at Rockwood Summit. The program consists of a varsity and junior varsity squad. Tryouts for these teams are held in the spring prior to the next school year and are open to incoming 9th-12th graders for the following school year.

Biodiesel Club
We meet each week on Tuesdays after school in the bio-shed. Biodiesel Club is a great way to learn how to engineer processes to make quality products, study the link between agriculture and biochemistry, maintain and improve automobiles and most of all, educate our community on the potential of renewable fuel.

Coding Club
We meet 1-2 times a month. Coding Club is a great way to learn about computer programming while creating mobile apps, websites, and games, interacting with robots, and competing in hackathon and programming competitions. Members are students who are interested in using computer programming to solve a variety of problems.

HOSA (Medical Club)
HOSA is a national club for students interested in biomedical sciences. Students have an opportunity to compete with other students in a large variety of medically related events each year.

Robotics Team
The Robotics Team provides students with the opportunity to design, build and compete with robots through the First Robotics Competition. Although the objective of the competition changes every year the robotics team offers opportunities for students to participate in the engineering design process, programming, business and marketing, and community outreach. No experience is necessary. All are welcome.
