President’s Report: President’s Forum – Kate is trying to get the presidents together to discuss having healthier snack options at schools. The presidents feel our school has healthier options already so there is no need to attend.
Principal’s Report:
- EOCs (End of Course state exams) will begin on Monday.
- AP testing will begin on May 5th .
- SEL survey was given in the fall and spring. Dr. McGown shared the results with the committee. She is working with the teachers on items to work on for the next school year. Teachers have expressed an interest in coaching kids how to have more meaningful conversations (community in the classroom) and addressing why some kids feel left out of things.
- Year-end events – track meet is this weekend. Next Monday is the Falcon Flight Awards. There are also some music concerts and the Fenton Art Fair (including staff submissions!). Teacher appreciation week is coming up and May 10th is graduation.
