PSO Meeting Notes

April 13, 2026

Dr. McCown, Laura Roth, Shana Thomas, Cara Gill, Joanie Voorhees, Jen Guntli-Naslund, Jamie Cobb, Lindsay Wulf, Stacie Dixon, Barb Stanek, Lara Lockey, Emily Warner, Keisha Adams, Tiffani Larkin

 

The meeting began at 6:35 pm.

 

Minutes from the previous meeting were unanimously approved.

 

President’s Report:

·       Scholarship update – almost 50 applicants. There were a lot of great submissions. All winners will be announced on April 27th

 

Principal’s Report:

·       April is a busy month- field trips, an assembly, Junior ACT, freshman tour, and bring your kid to work day

·       Coming up - plays, concerts (fine arts), senior Field Day, prom, Senior Slam, and the college fair on April 20th

·       EOC testing starts April 22nd

 

Staff Report

 

Treasurer’s Report:

·       Concessions and Snack Shack still have money coming in and out. Budget numbers are expected to be hit

·       Teacher grants are still coming in  

·       Current financials have been unanimously approved

 

Communication/Website:

·       We are up to date with all uploads

 

Events/Staff Support:

·       There are a lot of upcoming celebrations- they are meeting soon to discuss

·       May do small teacher gifts but open to ideas - these include a breakfast, malt shop, water bar, dirty soda truck, and ice cream truck. For gifts, flair pens (in fun colors) have been a big hit among other teachers

 

 

 

Grade Level Rep’s Report

 

Senior Reps: Gas card raffle is ending this Friday; there are currently 83 tickets sold, and the goal is 100. The suite raffle went live today for $25, and 20 tickets have already been sold. The 026 apparel and decals hit a snag, but they are hoping to get them out by the end of the week. Senior Slam is being finalized. On April 27th, Banners and shout-outs should go up by May 11th. Volunteer sign-ups will go out this Sunday. A little over 200 have registered so far, and the registration ends soon.

 

Junior Reps: no report

 

Sophomore Reps: March Madness was easy to run and made almost $800. Next, they are planning on a golf raffle basket. Senior yard signs are on sale, ending April 15th.

 

Freshman Reps: March Madness sold out. Made $1900!

Slate was unanimously approved

 

New Business:

·       Last meeting is May 11th
