PSO Meeting Notes
February 9, 2026

Dr. McCown, Shana Thomas, Emily Warner, Lara Lockey, Jodi Carlson, Stacie Dixon, Barb Stanek, Tiffani Larkin, Keisha Adams, Laura Lockey, Erica Hallsten, Katie Gregston, Jill Elder, Laurie Phillip, Lindsay Wulf, and Jennifer Perone (guest)
The meeting began at 6:37 pm.
Minutes from the previous meeting were unanimously approved.
President’s Report:
· Looking to approve the remaining teacher grants
Principal’s Report:
· School of Character meeting is this Wednesday to create core values; still looking for volunteers to attend
· Parent-Teacher conference dinners are being taken care of
· ACT prep will be during zero hour starting March 2nd for 4 weeks
· Best Buddies applications are now available. March 12th is the Special Olympics. Need about 120 student volunteers (will miss the whole day of school)
· Job fair is on April 8th during AC lab
· Dr. McCown attended Fenton Chamber of Commerce meetings. Possible fundraiser opportunity
· Working on 2026-2027 calendar. Graduation will be on a Monday based on the annual rotation
Staff Report
Treasurer’s Report:
· Spirit wear had huge sales thanks to curriculum night
· Insurance has been paid
· Teacher grants are coming in
· Concessions and snack shack funds are constantly coming in and out
Communication/Website:

Events/Staff Support:
· National School Counselor Week was last week
· School Resource Officer Week is the week of March 25th
· May do another spirit wear push when the weather is warmer
· Hosting basketball districts, which should bring in some concession funds
Grade Level Rep’s Report
Senior Reps: Pura Vida bracelets are still being sold. Gas card raffle is currently being promoted and winners will be announced when all 150 tickets have been sold. Jen is working on a class of 2026 t-shirts and decals and should be available by the end of February. Graduation Day Suite raffle will be promoted after spring break. Senior Slam is progressing well and tickets will remain at $50.
Junior Reps: Jennifer Perone (guest). Looking to sell cheap hoodies and crew necks to wear to pep rallies, and/or Friday could be spirit wear day. Discussed logos/themes. Shooting for the fall semester next year. Need to decide how the profits are allocated. Savor the flavors – the committee just met. Currently sold 74 tickets, shooting for 250. 13 restaurants, shooting for 20. 18 sponsorships. They will talk to the cafeteria staff about pizza warmers and trays.
Sophomore Reps: nothing to report.
Freshman Reps: May do a March Madness squares fundraiser.

· Need to start thinking about open PSO positions for the 26-27 school year. Freshman reps, conference dinners chair specifically.
