PSO Summer Budget Meeting

July 15, 2024

6:30-8:00pm

 

Present: Shana Thomas, Laura Roth-Haley, Stacie Dixon, Emily Werner, Lara Lockey, Dr. Emily McCown, Susan Boden, Katie Gregston, Cara Gill, Joan Voorhees, Erika Powell, Julie Keller

 

President’s Report:  

-Shana & Laura now in official capacity as new co-presidents

-Several meetings with Susan so far to get up to speed and transfer documents/files

 

Principals Report:

-Big back to school communication going out on 7/22 that will include freshman yard sale sign info; will include more PSO info in comms closer to the open house in August

-Junior & Senior parking passes go on sale on 7/24

-10th-12th grade orientation and yearbook pick-up will be on 8/12

-Full day freshman orientation will be on 8/15

-Freshman parent orientation and PSO overview/intro will be on 8/14

-Activity passes are on-sale online

-Homecoming week will be 9/23-9/28

 

Past President’s Report:

-Quotes from Arch Engraving received for plaque on archway ($1390 for bronze, $785 for aluminum casting, and $115 to install either one)

-Susan to go back to Arch Engraving for their recommendation on material

 

Treasurer’s Report:

-Walked through budget by line item and group suggested revisions

-Updated budget to be available by next general meeting for review and approval

- Emily to determine if there is Square reporting available to separate out snacks vs. spiritwear on Snack Shack sales so that it can be attributed appropriately in the budget

 

Spiritwear:

-Stacie to work on design for sale at upcoming freshman parent meeting

-Connecting with Jason Voorhees to see if he is willing to design something for a new t-shirt

 

Class updates:

Seniors-detergent sales were minimal but easy to administer; freshman yard sale signs are strong

Juniors-

Sophomores- Considering a Stonie’s sausage fundraiser

Freshman- Met with Susan and co-presidents to learn timelines and strategies

 

Stacie moved to adjourn, Emily seconded, all approved.  Meeting adjourned 7:59 p.m.
