Staff Report
Treasurer’s Report:
● Income- Don’t be worried about how negative Concessions look right now. We have not counted the 10/3 football game yet and we just spent a lot of money on supplies and soda for upcoming concession stand dates. Snack shack continues to bring in lots of money. Spiritwear is still negative but sales are ongoing.
● Expenses- Bonding bill has been paid so all board members can rest easy knowing we are all bonded. Christine Guest has been reimbursed for Bandanas and Subway veggie sandwiches for Fall Conference Dinners. $500 check has been sent to Melissa Feig to fund fruit for ongoing snack from PSO Cares budget.
● Other Revenue- class money is starting to roll in. $500 check was sent to Prop S from the carryover funds from 2024-2025.
Communication/Website:
● Our potential person to fill this role has declined. Shana will continue to manage these responsibilities.
Events/Staff Support:
● Schedule for appreciation days for first half of year is complete. We gave custodians a snack and handwritten card recently.
● Still looking for fun ideas for American Education Week in November- are we interested in donating to a luncheon? Stacie & Jodi to explore some fun desserts as well.
Grade Level Rep’s Report
Senior Reps: Word is that this was one of the busiest Homecomings in years which is great for concession stand profits. Over $3,000 in profit! T-shirts and decals for Class of 2026 are in the works. Pura Vida bracelets are still for sale. Senior Slam meeting at 6:30pm in Commons on 10/14.
Junior Reps: Concession stand has been busy during their shifts. Contacting families about first meeting in November to plan Savor the Flavors. Also planning Stonie’s fundraiser before end of 2025.
Sophomore Reps: Tackle Cancer concessions was successful as well! Considering a “Choose Your Own Adventure” gift card raffle for before Black Friday- looking to sell for about 3 weeks. Also considering a small business/vendor fair but more details to iron out.
Freshman Reps: Class of 2029 shirt sales sold over 100 shirts. Working on a holiday home tour- so far at 7 homes and hoping to get 8. Each house will have festive holiday surprise (photos, crafts, etc).
Old Business:
● 11/21 confirmed for Forbidden Foods. Thursday, 12/18 will be second date for the semester.
New Business:
● We have approximately $10,000 in surplus from 2024-2025 budget to earmark. Sign down by track directing to pool, gym, etc could use a refresh. Could we earmark the funds for “grounds/beautification” in the coming years? A sign over the lower concession stand would also be nice. New shelving for the concession stand?
● Can we price all items in $0.50 and $1.00 increments to make mental math easier for volunteers? Meghan to work on updating prices on signs for next year.
The meeting adjourned at 7:05pm. Motion by Jodi Carlson. Second by Jen Naslund.
Rockwood School District PTO meetings are reserved for district parents, community members and invited guests. If you are interested in speaking at a PTO meeting, please reach out to their executive board members ahead of planned meetings.
