District ACT for Juniors

The Rockwood District FREE ACT for Juniors (Class of 2026) will be offered on April 8, 2025

Students are already registered to take the exam, no action is required by students or parents to register for the District ACT. 

 TEST DAY INFORMATION:

  • Check-in begins at 8:10 a.m.

    • Students Last Names A-J test in Lower Gym

    • Students Last Names K-Z test in Upper Gym

  • The test lasts about 4 hours

    • English - 75 items, 45 minutes

    • Math - 60 items, 60 minutes

    • Break (10-15 minutes)

    • Reading - 40 items, 35 minutes

    • Science - 40 items, 35 minutes

  • Students should bring:

    • photo ID

    • nonmechanical #2 pencils, sharpened, with erasers

    • an approved calculator  ACT Calculator Policy (extra calculators are available to borrow, but not all are graphing calculators)

    • dressing in layers for personal comfort is suggested

    • a snack and drink (for the break only, outside the test room)

  • Phones, smart watches and electronics are not permitted to be used, even during the break

  • If students bring backpacks they must be left along the wall on the sides of the room and may not be accessed during the exam 

  • The test will end at approximately 12:10

  • After testing, all students will eat lunch and return to afternoon classes

Students approved by ACT to test with accommodations will receive an additional email with instructions prior to test day with details about their testing arrangements for April 1.

 

PRIOR TO TEST DAY - MyACT Online Account

Juniors will receive an email on April 1st that will include the following important information:

  • create a MyACT account and complete Non-Test personal information 

  • a unique code will be provided to each student in the email

  • students will receive a hard copy of the same instructions/code on test day to take home 

  • Deadline to complete the MyACT account setup is April 10th 

  • WHY DO THIS? - MyACT account is required to view scores online, which typically come much faster than the paper scores through the mail

  • the MyACT account set up is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (but not required)

  • Students who need assistance with their account may call ACT Student Services 319-337-1270

 

 HOW WILL I GET MY ACT SCORES?

2 ways:

  • Create a MyACT account prior to test day (as outlined above) to access scores online 

  • Paper score report mailed home

  • Scores come directly from ACT and are not distributed at school

Please note that all students do not receive their scores at the exact same time. Please allow 2-8 weeks.
