Practice ACT for 11th graders - Information for Students & Families

Students in Class of 2026 will have the opportunity to take a FREE Practice ACT exam at school

Friday, September 20, 2024  8:28 - 12:30 in RSHS Upper Gym

  • Simulated testing experience by following ACT timing and procedures with a full-length ACT exam

  • Students will receive their scores via email after the exam

  • The Practice ACT scores will give students a baseline to identify their strengths and areas for improvement. The practice exam is an ACT exam from a previous year that has been released.

  • Students will test on their RSD Chromebooks

What to know for test day:

  • Bring your fully charged RSD chromebook (loaner Chromebooks and charging stations are limited)

  • Bring sharpened pencils with erasers, a calculator, snack and drink for the break

  • Scratch paper will be provided

  • Dressing in layers for personal comfort is suggested

  • Book bags will be set to the sides of the room and cannot be accessed until dismissal

  • Phones and smart watches must be completely powered off and out of sight at all times, including the break

  • Earbuds and other electronics are not permitted

  • Students will eat lunch from 12:30 - 12:55 and return to class by 1 p.m.

The Practice ACT is a formative assessment. All students will test with standard timing (extended time is not available). If a child has a significant medical issue that will interfere with their ability to take the test in a large group, please contact kottmannjennifer@rsdmo.org to discuss options.
