Test Accomodations

State & District Testing Accommodations

Students who have an IEP or 504 plan, or receive English Learner services (ELL) will receive testing accommodations for State and District testing according to the details outlined in their school plan. The school testing coordinator will work with the IEP, 504, and ELL case managers to ensure all accommodations are in place for State and District testing. No formal request needs to be made by students or parents, but questions can be directed to the school testing coordinator or your child's case manager.

ACT Testing Accommodations

An IEP or 504 plan, or receiving ELL services, does not automatically guarantee extended time or other accommodations on the ACT exam.

For the District Free ACT for Juniors, IEP, 504 and ELL case managers will review which students may be eligible for accommodations and contact parents and students to initiate the process to apply for accommodations.

For National ACT Testing, students will initiate the request for accommodations at the time they register for the exam online. This will send an email to the school to submit the request along with proper documentation.

Once a student is approved, the accommodations continue for future ACT testing while in high school.

Complete information can be found here about ACT Testing Accommodations

College Board Testing Accommodations (AP Exams, PSAT, SAT)

An IEP or 504 plan does not automatically guarantee extended time or other accommodations on AP Exams, the PSAT or the SAT.

To apply for accommodations for a College Board exam, contact your child's IEP or 504 case manager, or the school testing coordinator at kottmannjennifer@rsdmo.org to initiate the process.

Once a student is approved, the accommodations continue for future College Board exams taken while in high school.

ELL testing accommodations are not available on College Board exams.
