Military Scholarships

These scholarships are either offered by divisions of the U.S. Military or by organizations which support higher education opportunities for military veterans and their families. These are not necessarily military scholarships.

U.S. ARMY ROTC FOUR-YEAR HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP
SPONSOR: U.S. Army ROTC

DUE DATE: National Scholarship Board dates for 2024-2025 school year:
- Oct. 14, 2024 to be reviewed by the board from Oct. 21-25, 2024 (Round 1)
- Jan. 20, 2025 to be reviewed by the board from Jan. 27-31, 2025 (Round 2)
- Mar. 17, 2025 to be reviewed by the board from Mar. 24-28, 2025
AMOUNT: Usually full college tuition

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be a U.S. citizen between ages of 17 and 31, high school diploma with an unweighted GPA of 2.5+ if applying while in high school, have taken the SAT or ACT, take the Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT), meet the physical requirements, and agree to accept a commission and serve an 8-year commitment in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component (Army Reserve or Army National Guard).

U.S. AIR FORCE ROTC SCHOLARSHIPS
SPONSOR: U.S. Air Force

AMOUNT: Type 1= full college tuition plus a monthly stipend; Type 2= pays up to $18,000 per year toward tuition & fees plus a monthly stipend

ELIGIBILITY: Open to high school seniors who are U.S. citizens with composite scores of 1240+ on SAT or 26+ on ACT and an unweighted GPA of 3.0+. Applicants must also pass medical and physical fitness assessments.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: Information on the types of scholarships, requirements, and how to apply is available at the U.S. Air Force ROTC website. Expect to need 2-3 weeks from start to finish for the completion of all components except the interview.
